Richard Glover, VP of Communications and Marketing for the Space Center Houston, will look at the marketing done for the Space Center Houston and the commonalities between our marketing efforts and similar efforts in many other industries.
A veteran of the sports, real estate, and attractions industries, Richard E. Glover, Jr. brings 25 years of marketing and communications leadership to his position as the Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Space Center Houston, where he oversee the science center’s communications, marketing, sponsorship, group sales, and research and evaluation efforts.
Glover joined Space Center Houston in late 2018 after two years as Vice President of Marketing, Communications and External Affairs at The Florida Aquarium, in Tampa, Florida. That post was preceded by five years as the Chief Marketing Officer at the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, where he led award-winning marketing campaigns, delivered attendance and revenue increases, and was a key developer in a $50 million capital campaign that exceeded its goal prior to the target date.
Previously, Glover spent 20 years in the horse racing industry, working as a journalist, publicist, television producer, publisher, photographer, and marketer.
Since 1994, Glover has owned and operated Glover Enterprises, a marketing and consulting firm. Glover Enterprises worked with a variety of clients in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Services provided include marketing and communications strategy, crisis management, revenue stream development, government relations, branding, capital campaign development, publishing, strategic partnership development, website design & maintenance, and photography.
