Leo De León, Jr. has long been recognized for his outstanding creative accomplishments. He has won dozens of awards for his creative work in local and national competitions in Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York. He has also judged numerous local, district and national award shows. Articles about his work and Boone DeLeon have appeared in numerous trade publications, magazines and newspapers such as the Houston Chronicle, The Houston Post, The Houston Business Journal, Promo Magazine, Adweek and Advertising Age. He has also been called upon by ABC, NBC, CBS and PBS to comment on the advertising industry. When he is not running the Agency, he is traveling the country serving as panelist for seminars on marketing, retailing, Hispanic marketing and advertising.
A Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, Leo has served as President of the American Advertising Federation - Houston, Chairman of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, President of Houston Proud, Vice President of the Houston Association of Hispanic Journalists, Advisory Council Member to the University of Texas College of Communication, and is on the current Chair of the Presidents Council of the American Advertising Federation-Houston. He was awarded the Silver Medal in 2013.
